On a certain road two black hounds and little pup used to travel at night. It was believed that they were not natural.
One night as three men were returning from rambling the dogs passed by them. One of the men took up a stone and said he was going to flatten them.
As he spoke the hounds and the pup turned and walked back towards them. The[y] stood up and stared at the men. When the men saw what happened a great fear came on them. They started to run and they jumped all the hedges that they met.
