    Dancing-
A dance-school was established in ConnKilla about 60 years ago by one Bohane from Kenneigh - and many of the elder people understand step-dancing since. Pupils wer charged a penny a night or half a crown for a quarter's instruction.
Timothy Rick Donovan of Kilscohona was a famous dancer and I have heard of a challenge to hornpipe (all comers) at Colomane Cross which he won.
Seán Owen OSullivan of Coomleigh was also a noted dancer.
So far as I can gather style and endurance were the main points on which a championship was decided. I believe Timothy Rick Donovan was supposed to contend against various opponents for three hours at the hornpipe.
