The Sheridans of Rathkeale travel in caravans and are in families, and visit the district annually for Newmarket horse-fair which falls on February 17th. and the Millstreet horse-fair which falls on March 1st. Another family named Coffey also visits the district for the 6th. May, Dromtarriffe pattern-day.Those who are single tell very interesting tales, but those who travel in caravans discuss a business transaction or something of a gain to themselves or they are of the hawker tribe.
