    At daybreak they returned without the princess. Ten years passed, and there was no trace of the missing princess. One day as one of the king's horsemen was hunting he saw a cottage and went over to it.
    When he arrived he was welcomed by the lost princess. The soldier took her back to the castle, and the king was glad to see her. Then the princess told how she was ordered to leave her home.
    When the king heard this he ordered the old queen to be burned to death.
