    Giants.
When Blarney Castle was being built the giants who were building it were drawing stones from all parts of the country. There was a bugle at the castle to call them. Whenever they would hear it they would drop their stones and run.
One day as a giant was passing through the townland of Gurranes he heard the bugle. He dropped two stones which fixed into the ground and has been standing there to-day.
