    about three or four years ago a band of "wren boys" who were not local met some Ballingarry youngsters on the road between Ballingarry and Kilmeedy. They saw the children dividing the money. They followed them and took about nine or ten shillings from them. It was not known who they were.
    On St. Patrick's Day the Local "Confraternity" March to St. Patrick's Well at Ballyneale, Ballingarry, under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Wall P.P. He pays "rounds" and he gives out the Rosary. He also gives a very interesting lecture on St. Patrick.
    At Christmas the people get presents from their friends and also from the shopkeepers with which they are dealing. They decorate the house with holly and ivy. This is burned when the twelve days of Xmas are over.
