- (continued from previous page)people used tea leaves and threw out the tea. One day a priest came into a house to say Mass. They gave him the tea leaves. The priest said to give him the water in which the leaves were stewed and this was the first time the people in my district knew how to use tea. They used tea only on Christmas Day and St. Patrick's day.
- In olden times food was eaten three times a day. Those three meals consisted of potatoes and milk. The milk was called skimmed - milk. It was milked from the cow and put into a keeler and left set for a day and a night. It was then(continues on next page)
