- Many of the old roads in this district are now losing prominence, for instance, one of these roads which is about am ile from where I live is now being used as an avenue to a private house. Before the Postmen were allowed to use bicycles there were several "Short-cuts", paths made by them across the fields, but now mist of these are not used, save a few near the school, which are still used by the schoolchildrenRivers were (used) crossed by fords before bridges were made. The old roads were very rough and stony, because the people had to rely on the constant traffic to wear them(continues on next page)
