- There are many cures in this locality for diseases. they are;-
If you have a toothache get a little bag of hot salt and put it up to your jaw and it would cure it, a grain of pepper or ginger is good to burn the pain also. If you got a pain in your wrist tie a piece of woolen thread around it and it would cure it. If you got a cat to lick a dirty cut it would cure it. The leaves of the elder tree are good to bring out a thorn. Flax-seed tea is good for a cold in the chest. Milkweed is good for a wart or a corn.- Collector
