  1. There are many ghost stories told of Curragh Chase House. One sign of this is the drawing of a ghost once seen there on the stairway. This was drawn by an artist friend of the De Veres.
    It is not safe to be out at midnight around this house for many headless coaches are seen driving at a furious pace towards a fort nearby. In the house are heard many noises and music from an old harp.
    When the people there ascended the stairs at night they used to see strange lights.
