They used to hear him every night the family and the helpers the stable-men and all used to hear him riding around the place shouting as if he would be following hounds and there would be only one hoof track in the morning. Three young boys went stealing apples there one time and his shouts around the house hallooing them would awaken the dead. His wife's name was Blood and she was haunting the house.
