    us
    right well did we obey,
    "We Must leave Thurles' spires
    behind,
    before the break of day;
    On, on to frowning Keeper Hill
    haste! haste!" he madly cried,
    "Our Colonel wants his men
    to see
    in camp by morning's light."
    Soon, soon, we reach'd the
    bivouac, a little near Rossmore,
    Where many a fray and fray
    had Clan Fogarty before;
