    Come all you Irish patriots, an' lind a williing ear
    unto those few verses I'm going to let ye hear,
    Concernin' a bloody Orange crew who loudly cursed an' swore
    To murder Roman Catholics one side of Templemore
    'Twas on the 12th July, 18 hundred and 36
    They sed they'd kill poor Papists an' tare the Crucifix;
    They marched in grand formation and play'd their pipes an' drums,
    But they had no expecation that we'd brake their swords
