    In a ray or furze field belonging to Denis Corcoran stand two stones. One of them is six feet in height and the other is four feet. There is a cross on the tall one. It is pointed on the top. These two stones are there with seven hundred years.
    Old Ned and his dog got lost there one dark night. Old Ned died there of cold and hunger and his dog died there too.
    They were buried in this certain spot and the stones were put there to mark the spot.
