- Mr White of Annacarty had a fort on his land in the townland of Mealclye Parish of Donohill. His father levelled the fort a long time ago. It is said that he found big planks of timber buried in it.
The same year that he destroyed the fort all his cows died, and so it is not lucky to meddle with a fort. Such places are kept by the fairies.
There is no trace of this fort there now.- Collector
