  1. There are a great many weeds around here. The dock leaf is a weed that grows here. It has a long green leaf and it cures the sting of an nettle, and it mostly grows near nettles.
    The ragweed is a weed that also grows here. It is a high weed with a fairly small yellow. It mostly grows on good land.
    The dandelion is a weed that grows on any kind of land. People around here gather and chop it for the turkeys. There is a yellow flower on it which is poison. You also can eat dandelion it is a good cure for the liver when it is chopped very fine.
    Robin - run - the - hedge is a little thing that sticks to you. It grows in the hedge. It spreads very quickly and that is why it why it is called robin run the hedge. It was supposed to cure sickness long ago.
    The clover is a weed something like the shamrock only that there is a little white stripe in it. It mostly grows on good land. It spreads very quickly.
