- It is said that the cóiste bodhar is never seen but heard.
There are a lot of chains noising in it. The time of the night it is heard is about two o'clock. Whenever the Cóiste Bodhar is heard someone must die whose name starts with O.
The road on which it is heard is from Doolin Gate to Fisherstreet and the man that heard it was Martin Linnane, Fisherstreet.
Other roads on which it is often heard are around Roadford from Doolin Gate to Doolin school, from Fisherstreet to Doonagore Castle.
It is said that these are very lonesome roads.- Collector
