- (continued from previous page)Troolach Mach Stairn who were living in the west of the country, and they heard of the great trouble this animal was to the people. They came in pursuit of the cat, and being well armed they attacked him, and it is said he made a powerful defence, but finally he tried to escape from his attackers and ran towards the south where he had another residental quarter. But they followed him and captured him about three miles away and killed him with their spears. People were afraid to pass that way for years afterwards.
