- About forty years ago a man named Mr Hanraty from Drogheda dreamed that he found a purse of money at the back of Mr Bannon's house in Termonfeckin. The old Parish Priest Father Mackeown lived there at the time and when he died this man found the purse.
The man dug under the big window for it. There is supposed to be a ghost about there.- Collector

- There is an old cave in our district. It is said that there is a crock of gold in that cave. It is said also that it was at the time of the Danes in Ireland and when they came to rob the country that the monk hid it in a place that they could not get it.
There is an old castle at the back of a hill. There is a crock of gold hidden there. There is a ghost Bulldog in that tower or castle. There were three attempts made to find it. They failed. It is said that the men who tried to find it went into the castle and never came out. They brought a couple of loaves(continues on next page)
