- There is an old cave in our district. It is said that there is a crock of gold in that cave. It is said also that it was at the time of the Danes in Ireland and when they came to rob the country that the monk hid it in a place that they could not get it.
There is an old castle at the back of a hill. There is a crock of gold hidden there. There is a ghost Bulldog in that tower or castle. There were three attempts made to find it. They failed. It is said that the men who tried to find it went into the castle and never came out. They brought a couple of loaves(continues on next page)
