Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Pat Mac Namee was the name of the poet that lived in my district. He lived in Ballybrittas Kildalkey, born 1842 died 1902. aged 60 years. He was buried in St. Dympna's graveyard Kildalkey. When he died he was carried around St. Dympna's graveyard, and the children wore white satan frocks with green sashes. There are no stories told as to how he got the gift of poetry He made the poem as follows:-
    Two lovers sat on a bank,
    Where violet buds were blooming
    The day - God on his Gold-bed sank
    A booklet tear was flowing
