It is a local custom for the wedding feast to be held in the house of the bride's parents.
- Marriages most frequently take place in this locality during March, February, April, and September.
The months and days that are thought unlucky for marriages are January and July, Friday and Saturday.
People make pan-cakes on shrove Tuesday because it is the day before Lent and it is an old custom.
