  1. In Athboy old graveyard and Rathmore there are some old tomb - stones and crosses.
    The tomb - stones are so old that the dates aren't visible.
    Some of the crosses are ornamented.
    In Rathmore graveyard some people are buried within the ruin of the church.
    The Hill of Ward churchyard is not is use.
    Unbaptized children were buried under a lone bush long ago.
    There was no special name for them.
    They are not in use now.
    There is no story or tradition connected the local graveyards.
    Some local families still use certain graveyards though they may be much further away than the parish graveyards. The names of these people are:- Mrs Herbert who was buried in Tullach na n-Óg was living in the parish of Athboy R.I.P. Thomas Gaffney was buried in Killalu was a native of Fraine
