- In Annsgrove House (owned by the Lynch family) when the people would go to bed the ghosts would come and rattle the things and break them. The people of the house brought several priests to say Mass in it but it was no use as the noise still went on.
They would hear horses galloping and the good people singing and dancing and playing music and the cattle would be frightened and they would be lying around the fields for two or three days and they would not be able to walk.
Father Brian Cluillam put them out. He banished them to a place down in the bog. He was praying for hours and hours and the sweat dripping down off him. There were three men-ghosts and a woman-ghost in it. The priest got them to the door but the woman would not go out. He turned round and took up a cat off the floor and threw him at her, and she tore him in pieces.
They tore a path from the door(continues on next page)- Collector
