- Long ago tea was very scarce. No one would get tea only a farmer. He would get tea once a day - that was in the evening. He used to get potatoes and buttermilk for his breakfast. When he would thresh his oats he would make his own oat meal.
People would not buy starch as they made their own starch out of potatoes.
Ash Wednesday, Spy Wednesday and Good Friday were kept very holy the people. They would not break their fast until after twelve o'clock. Then they took their tea black.
All children would not get an egg all the year round except at Easter.What is it that wears many boots yet has no boots to wear? A football.
How do bees dispose of their honey? They cell it.
