    On his way through a big field he was accosted by a swan who said, "Where are going Jim"? "I'm going to the town" Jim replied. "Sit up on my back" said the swan, "And I will take there as I'm going as far as Delvin lake." Jim did as he was told and off they flew. Miles and miles they flitted until they were over a vast sheet of water; and the swan said "Get down now Jim." "Where we will I get down?" said Jim. "Get down down I tell you" said the swan. Jim was exasperated and he struck the swan a thundering blow and who did he hit but his brother John who lay sleeping calmly alongside Jim.
