    There was a hedge school one time in Moylroe. Moylroe school was the name of it. Master White was the name of the master that was teaching in it. There were no strangers going to it. The teacher had a house of his own. There was no Irish spoken by master or pupils. Writing was done with with a slate. The school was not carried on in farmers houses. The teacher had a blackboard and chalk. There were five or six classes in it. The subjects they were taught were Reading and
