- Mrs Gaynor of Moylroe cures burns and scalds. She fries one pound of lard and laurel leaves. Then she pours it into a jar. The cure of the Rose is to be got in a place called Moylroe. The cure is in a drain between two parishes and it is called the Rulia Water. The people that live near this drain raise it for anyone that wants it and their names are O'Briens. The way to raise it is get three little pebbles and throw one in and bless yourself and lift up a sup of water and so on until the bottle is full.
