    chaffinches, goldfinches, sparrows, wagtails, wild-ducks, pigeons, corncrakes, swallows, green linnets, cuckoos, missel thrushes, lapwings, starlings, jackdaws, swans, house martins ; swifts, wrens crows, robins, stone chats, snipes, bull finches, owls, curlews, seagulls, yellow hammers, tom-tits, hawks, wild goose, water hens, cranes, kingfishers, magpies, boglarks, skylarks, woodpeckers, woodcocks, grouses, blackheads, and bald coots.
    The corncrake, wild duck, wild goose, pilibeen, cuckoo swallow and some of the robins migrate. The corncrake comes back to our district about the last week in April. They stay in meadows and they hatch out their young in a meadow. The young corncrakes are often killed by mowing machines.
