  1. To cure toothache use was made of a frog. The frogs foot was rubbed on the bad tooth.
    Any man or boy who licked the back of a lizard was said to be able to cure a burn by licking the blister.
    To cure a cold slice a turnip and put it into a bowl with layers of brown sugar, and use the juice when necessary.
    People believed long ago that holy wells would cure any diseases if they would believe in them. There is a well in Durrow and they say if you put your head on the stone going down to the well, it will cure your headache.
