    The corncrake builds its nest in the meadows.
    The bog lark makes its nest with old grass and the sky lark builds hers the same way.

    When swallows fly low it is the sign of rain. When the seagulls keep going out to the sea it is the sign of fine weather and if they keep coming inland it is the sign of rain.
    It is said that when Christ was crucified a drop of blood fell on the robins and since then the robins breast has alway been red.
    The blackbird was so inquisitive when he saw a pot of mustard one day that he put his beak in the pot to see what was in it and ever since he has had a yell bill.
