- In Portloman churchyard there are ancient crosses and tomb-stones. They date back as far as the seventeenth century. Just outside the latter churchyard there is and ornamental stone. The late James Tuite of Mullingar had it photographed and was anxious to have it removed to the Museum. There is a good deal of carving on it.
