- We have a churn at home. It is two feet and a a half high. I was told the churn is the same breadth at the top and bottom and that it is eighteen inches broad. The sides are sloped in the centre and gone out at the two ends. Our churn is about ten years old.
The different parts are the dash, handle, lid, goggler, and chime. The parts for making the butter are called the trencher, paddles, butter-dish and print.
There is a mark on the lid to put it on straight on the churn. In the Summer churning is done four times a week and in winter once(continues on next page)- Collector
