    Father Confrey, Ennybeggs, Co Longford. Walked to Lough Derg bare footed.
    John Queen, Cartron, Drumlish. Carried a bag of meal from the Bishop's gate Longford to the hill of Cartron which is about six miles.
    John Joe Mimnaugh, Derryheelan, Drumlish, Co Longford. Caught a rabbit in the briar after a very long race through fields and bogs.
    Matt McGlynn, Drummard, Co Leitrim. Broke his shin leaping across Loughrynn with a bag of potatoes.
    John Molloy, Derryheelan, Drumlish, So Longford. Ran three miles with his wife on his back and let her fall into a boghole.
