- There is a fort in my townland called "Donohoe's Fort".
It is convenient to the road leading from Leggah to Ballinamuck.
It is all covered on the sides by big trees and there is a lone bush growing in the middle of it.
It is said if anyone went near the bush or cut it down would have bad luck.
About thirty two years there was a man coming up the Corgless road, one evening about sunset, and he saw a shower of rain rising in the fort and he went on as far as the fort, but when he went there, the ground was not wet.
There were little men and women dancing and singing and playing music.
He was about an hour there when a big black turkey cock came out of a cloud and began to beat him.
