- I live in the townland of Leggah, in the parish of Dromard and in the barony of Longford.
There are about thirty eight families and about two hundred and twenty eight people.
Sheridan, Duignan and Maguire are the most common names in Leggah.
The houses are mostly slated but in former times the houses were all thatched.
There are about nine old people over seventy years of age but none of them can speak Irish.
The houses were more numerous in former times than now.
The land is of a hilly nature composed of rock and stone with a small quanity of bog.
