    The hawk builds her nest of bits of sticks and her eggs are white with red spots on them.
    The crow and magpie build their nest of sticks.
    When there is rain coming the curlew begins to cry and fly about the sky and when there is a storm coming the larks gather in bunches and in the fields and when the birds fly high you will have good weather and when they fly low you will have bad weather.
    There is an old story relating to robin. It is said that when our Lord was crucified the robin came and tried to the thorns out of his head and the nails out of his hands and feet and his breast got stained with the blood and this is how he came to have the red breast.
