  1. Hallowe'en occurs on the 31st day of October.
    This (game) day is a day of great amusement for the young people as they take part in a great many games.
    The children play the game of ducking for apples in a tub of water.
    The person who is able to duck into the tub and secure the apple in this teeth is the winner and therefore gets the apple to eat.
    Another game is an apple is suspended from the ceiling by a piece of a cord and they have some fun in trying to catch this apple in their teeth.
    The apple being usually fairly big it is difficult to catch it.
    However it is sometimes caught and the one who catches it between his teeth gets it to eat.
    The grown ups have several games to play on the occasion of Hallowe'en. They sometimes get three plates and on the first plate they place
