Moses Sproue, better known as "Red Sproule". He lived at Kildevin, Streete Westmeath. This family lived here for hundreds of years. They were very unkind land-lords to their tenants, often a poor tenant sent in his rent, and written on the back of the receipt was a notice to give up his house and farm within a few days time.
