- On the slob farm is an immense field covering 100 Acres of land.It is called the Rath's field. This field could never be ploughed.A man named Dempsey started to plough it but when he turned the first sod he dropped dead. It was an impossibility to ever plough it afterwards. It remains unploughed to this day.If anyone happens to be in this field after dusk he cannot find his way out for he is dazzled with lights and daylight only can free him.
