  1. There is an old house on the Slob which is said to be haunted by an Irish Soldier.
This soldier dressed himself up as a ballad-singer in order to gain an entrance to the English Camp so as to get information about the movements of the enemy but one of the Yoes recognised him as an Irish soldier whom he had seen in the fight at Ross.
The Yoeman reported to his officer
The Irish soldier was arrested, condemned as a spy and was hung on high in a tree which was growing close to this house
Ever since then a man, crying and moaning, is seen walking round the tree after 12 at night
