- There are the ruins of an old church in Kellystown (Piercestown Parish)
One time the Protestants - who then were plentiful here - took the holy-water-font out of the old ruins and brought it to Brookfield near-by and the next morning the font was found back in the chapel ruin again. They also took flagstones out of it to put in a sewer but the water would not run in the sewer and there was damage done by flooding. There is a light to be seen here at night. It travels from Kellystown to Brookfield. There is an underground passage leading from this old church to Johnstown Castle- Collector
