  1. Handy Ball
    1
    One evening as I went to pray to the house of God I made my way;
    Hoping to make no delay, I got a sudden call.
    When prayers were over out I went and home I was fully bent
    But the ladies they got on my cent, and brought me to a ball.
    2. Now looking around me here I seen Mike Bracken
    coming donwn the green, a melodeon and a tamboureen
    beneath his over-all. Good evening Mike God save you Joe
    Then may I ask you where you go, He says I mean to toss the show, to night at Handy' Ball
    3. So of we started in a line, there was me and lizz and Mike and Brian, we did not care the night was fine
    We had neither hat nor shawl, we stopped at Glynns's
    To call call for nana, when Lizz and Bid their coats put on
    We met the Lawlors's Bill and Dan and brought them to the Ball
    4. We met the bouse then went in, the introducing did begin
    We had all relations kit + kin, asembled one and all
    To tell th truth Im not afraid there was types and class of
    every maid.
    From a hay cock to a razor blade that night at Handy's ball.
