    Boys are told if they rob bird's nests they'll be prosecuted and also God will never like them again.
    All bird's eggs are blue or a pinkey white.
    If swallows are flying low or it sea-gulls are flying hight it is said it will rain. It is also said if sea-gulls are flying inland it is as sign of storm at sea.
    The red breast of the robin is said to be the blood of Christ and boys in this district never throw stones at the robin.
    The only birds that fight in this district are mapies and rooks.
