    During the famine he had turnips growing in a field and at the top of the field there was a watch-house and he posted two watch-men in it and ordered them to shoot any person who came near.
    Castlearmstrong:
    There was a landlord in Castlearmstrong called Armstrong. He was a very bad landlord and he evicted many of tenants for non-payment of rents. He evisted the Kelly's Briens and Spollens.
    Once upon a time Armstrong closed up a holy well that was on his lands because he did not like to see the Catholics coming to the well.
    The next morning when he got up the place was flooded with water so he had to open the well again.
