- There are many holy wells in Wicklow. There is one in each of the following places, Tournant, Lacken, Kilranelagh, Cranerin, Kelsha, and Tobar na Carraige.
The well in Lacken is noted for curing lameness, and blindness and many people have gone to this well and were cured.
Cranerin Well is noted for curing bad stomachs.
An attempt was made to do away with the well in Tobar na Carraige. One day a Protestant man went to this well and brought with him a dog and "hung" him over the well(continues on next page)- Collector
