  1. Fairy forts are very numerous in my locality. One is situated in Thomascourt, one in Moynehall and another in Borareety. They are circular in shape and there is a great fence of eart round the one in Borareety. and Thomascourt but it is trees that are round the exterior of the one in Moynehall. It is said that the Fairys built the fort in Moynehall. It is situating on the top of a large hill overlooking a big part of the country as they would to see their enemies coming a far distance away. A story is told about a house situated in the vicinity of Moynehall fort. It is said the door of it was often opened at night by the fairies as the house was supposed to be built on their pass. Another old legend is told
