    running around crying pitifully. One thing was certain according to their belief that there was no chance of recovery for the sick person whom it was heard crying near their house. That person wheather young or old, seriously ill or not, was certainly doomed to death. Some stories are told to the effect that the sick persons in some cases heard the Banshee crying themselves and knew their end was near. What ever this mysterious spirit was it completely dissappeared from this locality or at least the belief in it has died out. An omen of Death which the old people in this locality believed in was called the
