    carried out in the locality in old times, judging by the number of old lime kilns around it was veray plentiful. Two old lime kilns in Faradolly, one in Ricehills, one in Killyvalley, one in Lower Kilmore, and one in Blencup. The lime produced was fairly good building lime and good for "liming" land but unsuitable for "whitewashing" as it was a yellow creamy colour. Some corn mills were worked locally in old times, one in the townland of Drumcor and another at Drunconnick the building of which still remains. In old times all the farm labour was done by hand the spad and "loy" been used for digging. The "loy" has disappeared
