  1. Industry - Lime-Making.
There are two lime kilns situated in this district one in Moydristan and one in Croisrath. Moydristan lime kiln is the property of Mr. Webb. The lime is sold in barrels or half barrels at a half a crown a barrel.
Croisrath is supposed to be the best lime. The first thing they do when they are going to burn lime is to put down a fire of turf.
It is very dangerous to be near a lime kiln when lime is burning because a poisonous gas is being given out
